Resource Builder features include: Bitmaps with any color count: Allows to have in resources bitmaps with any color count without restrictions appeared in Borland Image Editor and Borland Resource WorkShop. Custom Icons size: Allows to have icons with any width and any height. Forget about restrictions that use only Windows supported icons. Custom Cursors sizes: Allows to build cursors with custom sizes. Custom color count in Icons and Cursors: Allows to build icon and cursors with any color count you want (this version allows to have up to 256 colors). Embedded editors: Allows to use embedded editors for common resource types, such as: - BITMAP - ICON - CURSOR - STRINGTABLE - MENU - ACCELERATORS - DIALOG - VERSIONINFO JPEG support: Resource Builder can display and edit JPEG images in your resources. Import resources: Allows to import resources from existing WIN32 executables (EXE, DLL, ...), 32-bit and 16-bit resource files (RES, DCR). Graphic conversion: Allows to save cursors and icons in any graphic format from: BMP, CUR and ICO. Text editor: Allows to edit resources as text in RC forma t. RC files: Stores information in RC script files, so you can use them as usual scripts in any third-party applications. Embedded Compiler: Embedded compiler supports any RC format and is more stable and more correct than many existing compilers. The using of SIRCC32.EXE is following: Syntax is: SIRCC32.EXE [option] input_file_name [output_file_name] -h Display this information -c Compile rc file to resource file (default) -d Perform only syntax check (do not create output file) - Console interface to Resource Builder. Now Resource Builder has the console interface, so you can compile, decompile and extract resources from modules using command line interface to Resource Builder. Below is described command line arguments that could be used with Resource Builder: Syntax is: RESBLDR.EXE [option] input_file_name output_file_name -h display help for command line commands -? display help for command line commands -c compile rc script into resource file -s check rc script for syntax errors -e extract resources from executable or compiled resource fil e - Cut-Copy-Paste functions for resources. Now Resource Builder supports using Windows clipboard operations for working with resources. You can combine resources from different resource projects using Windows clipboard. - Drag-and-Drop support. Resource Builder now can accept files dragged from Windows explorer. Also included support for drag-and-drop operations between two copies of Resource Builder. You can visually build new resource projects from resources placed in old resource scripts. For performing drag-and-drop for resources just select resource item in resource tree and holding mouse button down drag it to another instance of Resource Builder where mouse cursor will change on accept shape. - Merging resource scripts. Now Resource Builder allows inserting all resources from stored RC scripts. So you can build new scripts using stored files. - Updating resources in executable modules. Now you can update resources in executable modules such as applications(.EXE), libraries (.DLL) etc. with Resource Builder. Now you can save any resource item placed in your RC script to file. - DFM resources support. Now you can view and edit DFM resources (Delphi's forms) in text presentation. Also you can save them into DFM file format. - Package Info resource support. Now you can view Package Info resource in useful presentation. - Compiler improved. The resource compiler included in Resource Builder is improved now for better performance and compile speed. - Image Editor new features. Below are new features added to Resource Builder's Image Editor: - Lasso tool included. Now you can manipulate free style border regions of image. - Zoom tool included. Now you can to zoom image in selected points. - Load from file functionality. Now you can load your graphic resources in Image Editor from bitmap files. It allows you to build Icons and Cursor based on images stored in bitmap file format. - Insert from file functionality. Now you can merge several graphic files into one. Fix list: - RLE Bitmaps support. Now more stream read error on working with RLE compressed bitmaps. - WS_CHILD flag. There was an error when generating RC script for dialogs when WS_CHILD flag was checked for dialog form. - Cursors size and hot spot information. Compiler eliminated this information from cursor resources when compile resource script. - Splash screen hiding. When importing at start-up the splash screen didn't close, now this is fixed. - Read-only files. There was an error when working with read-only marked files. - Help menu items in Menu Editor. When menu item has Help break flag it displays right aligned in menu bar. - Empty dialogs. There was an error in compiler when resource script contains empty Dialog resource. - Extended dialogs. The extended dialog resources displayed incorrect. - ASCII Accelerator. There was an error with ASCII accelerators. - Access Violation error on displaying error in RC script. Fixed. - Access Violation error on importing compressed modules. Fixed. - Version Info resource. Sometimes there was an error in compiler when working with version info resources. - Menu's Most Recent List.
